The NASA-LaRC CERES geostationary calibration team has made significant investments of time and effort to develop and host the SCIAMACHY-based SBAF Tool. Please acknowledge with the statement below when using results from this tool in publications and presentations.

"The SCIAMACHY-based Spectral Band Adjustment Factors are computed from algorithms and online tools developed at NASA-LaRC with SCIAMACHY V7.01 data obtained from the European Space Agency Envisat program (Scarino et al. 2016, Bovensmann et al. 1999)."

Notes:

For this tool, SCIAMACHY data are limited to the continuous spectral range of Channels 1-6, or 0.24 - 1.75 µm.
Imager-equivalent "pseudo" radiance values are in units of Wm-2 µm-1 sr-1. Pseudo scaled radiance, or reflectance, is a product of the SRF-convolved radiance divided by the SRF-convolved SCIAMACHY solar constant and a factor of π.
The σ-cutoff feature under advanced options uses a default of 5×standard error of the regression to exclude outliers. Set this to 0 to remove this outlier filter.
The Fit Min X and Fit Max X feature under advanced options allows Users to limit the regression to x-axis values inside the selected bounds.

Version 1.1 (05/24/2017): σ-cutoff and x-range limiting capabilities added.

Version 1.2 (04/19/2018): Dynamic Scaling in effect based on Plot Min X and Plot Max X. Fit Min X and Fit Max X control dynamic range of fit independent of Plot Min/Max X.

Version 1.3 (05/02/2018): Enhanced versions of Dynamic Scaling based on Plot Min X and Plot Max X, Fit Min X and Fit Max X, as well as σ-cutoff, employed.

Version 1.4 (07/06/2018): Double Spectral-Filtering capability implemented.

Version 1.5 (07/09/2018): Made various UI improvements.

Version 1.6 (06/04/2020): Controls for Sensor Channel Out-of-Band Response for X- and Y-Axis implemented under advanced options.
